Go-ahead for Angelini and Phoenix' acquisition of Italian pharmaceuticals wholesaler Grossfarma

Brussels, 03/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has cleared the acquisition by Italy's Angelini Group and Phoenix Group of Germany of the joint control of Grossfarma Distribuzione, Grossfarma's pharmaceutical wholesaling branch in Sicily. The acquisition will be carried out through the notifying parties' joint subsidiary in Italy, A&C Adivar e Comifar. Angelini and Phoenix are both wholesalers of pharmaceutical and parapharmaceutical products. The Commission found that the...
