02/04/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Swedish Presidency of the Union is organising on 3 and 4 April in Solana, in collaboration with the European Commission, a seminar on the theme "safe and Sustainable Pensions". Those taking part include the Swedish and Belgian Social Affairs Ministers, Ingela Thalen and Frank Vandenbroucke, the Director-General for Employment and Social Policy at the European Commission, Odile Quintin, and MEP Alejandro Cercas (PES, Spain). The aim of the seminar is to take stock of the pension systems in the EU.
