24/10/2014 (Agence Europe) - Ashton calls for swift resumption of dialogue with Serbia. High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton says she hopes the dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo will be resumed as quickly as possible. Serbia is still in search of a new government. “Whatever happens, I hope the dialogue will continue and that it will begin as soon as possible”, Ashton stated at the end of a farewell meeting in Brussels with Kosovo's Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi. She added that while a great deal had been covered in the dialogue, there still remained “much to be done”. The dialogue on the normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Pristina will now be managed by the new EU high representative, Federica Mogherini. Kosovo's Minister for Foreign Affairs Enver Hoxhaj made a historic visit to Belgrade on 23 October. (CG)
