Importers and retailers do not wish to see prolongation of duty on Chinese and Vietnamese shoes

Brussels, 14/10/2009 (Agence Europe) - The proposal of the European Commission to extend for at least another 15 months the anti-dumping duty of 16.5% and 10% respectively on imports to the Community market of shoes with leather uppers from China and Vietnam has caused European importers and retailers to be up in arms, under the banners of Eurocommerce and the Foreign Trade Association (FTA). “This duty should be abandoned", says the FTA.
