Brussels, 08/10/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is pleased with measures taken by the French authorities to open the market for savings books. On Thursday 8 October, therefore, it decided to close infringement proceedings against France, welcoming the fact that changes made had not had an adverse effect on the proceeds from this programme, which aims among other things to finance social housing.
