21/09/2009 (Agence Europe) - Farmers in the European Milk Board (EMB) symbolically poured out a “milk lake” in front of the European Commission on Monday 21 September to draw the attention of Commission President José Manuel Barroso to the crisis affecting the industry. Almost 40 million litres of milk were to be poured out elsewhere in Europe on Monday by farmers on milk strike, said EMB leader, German Romuald Schaber, interviewed by AFP. (L.C./transl.rt)
