Brussels, 10/09/2009 (Agence Europe) - The first plenary session of the European Parliament will open on Monday evening with a crucial vote on the controversial candidacy for the presidency of the European Commission. At the request of the Greens/EFA Group, MEPs will have a free, but non-secret vote (the group is to call for a roll-call vote) on whether the election of the next Commission president should be included in or withdrawn from the agenda.
