Dimas and Miko say that without international partners, EU will be unable to meet 30% emissions reduction target

Brussels, 23/06/2009 (Agence Europe) - During the opening of Green Week on Tuesday 23 June in Brussels (EUROPE 9926), Stavros Dimas, the European commissioner for the environment, and Ladislav Miko, the acting president of the Environment Council, underlined the urgency of taking action against climate change. They also took this opportunity to call on international partners to wake up and help conclude an ambitious international agreement in Copenhagen next December.
