Six countries have not yet fully transposed EU directive on legal control of consolidated annual accounts

Brussels, 17/06/2009 (Agence Europe) - As at 1 May 2009, six EU member states (Austria, Spain, Estonia, Ireland, Italy and Luxembourg) had not yet fully transposed Directive 2006/43/EC on the legal control of consolidated annual accounts, according to a document published on the European Commission's website. Ireland and Luxembourg seem to be the countries lagging the furthest behind, having not yet incorporated four dozen articles of the EU directive into their domestic law. The measures...
