Early return to power of British Conservatives is greatest threat to Treaty, says Brok

Brussels, 27/05/2009 (Agence Europe) - The greatest danger to the Lisbon Treaty is not the forthcoming Irish referendum, or that the Czech or Polish President refuse to sign the ratification laws, or the upcoming ruling of the German Constitutional Court, but the prospect of an early general election in the United Kingdom and the return to power of the Conservative Party, according to German MEP Elmar Brok (EPP-ED).
