Brussels, 11/05/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has welcomed the global consensus to add nine dangerous chemicals to the list of the 12 substances (known as the “Dirty Dozen”) already banned under the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs).
This global agreement was reached in Geneva on 10 May at the 4th conference of the Parties to the Convention, which brought together representatives of some 160 countries.
