Brussels, 23/04/2009 (Agence Europe) - The 24th General Assembly of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR), the largest local and regional event in Europe, opened on Malmö on Wednesday 22 April. This year marks a geographical record for the CEMR, with representation from local and regional governments from over 40 European countries.
