Commission expected to publish 2008 emissions checked by ETS participating companies on 1 April

Brussels, 24/03/2009 (Agence Europe) - Notwithstanding any unforeseen problems, CO2 emissions produced in 2008 by installations covered by the European Trading System (ETS) are expected out on 1 April 2009. On Tuesday 24 March announced that it intended to publish this data on this date if it has the time and required information.

All industrial plants in the ETS are obliged to transmit their 2008 duly verified emission rates before 31 March to the national authorities so that they can be...
