06/03/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 6 March, the European Commission formally adopted a regulation changing certain marketing standards for olive oil. The regulation, which was agreed by EU member states in the management committee in February (see EUROPE 9833), makes it compulsory to label the origin of virgin and extra virgin olive oil.
