23/02/2009 (Agence Europe) - In a declaration published on Monday 23 February, the Czech president of the EU, “firmly condemned” the attack committed on Sunday, against a busy market in Cairo. This attack killed a French woman and injured around 20 people. The presidency described the act as “criminal”. The explosion occurred near the Khan el-Khalili bazaar, in the east of the city, where tourists buy fancy goods and go to cafés and restaurants. (L.C./trans/rh)
