General Affairs Council expected to simply confirm doubts about €5 billion in EU funding for Economic Recovery Plan

Brussels, 20/02/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 23 February 2009, EU member states' freeing ministers are expected to discuss the planned €5 billion in EU funding for investment in energy and infrastructure as part of the European Economic Recovery Plan. The Czech Presidency hopes to get the Council to agree on general guidelines as no solution has yet been found to the question of where the money is to come from.
