Munich, 09/02/2009 (Agence Europe) - There was a “new tone” at the 45th Munich Security Conference (6-8 February) largely set by the new US administration. In a more relaxed mood than last year, the most commonly heard word was “cooperation”, with Russia first and foremost, then with Iran with which the US hopes to resume dialogue, the European Union and NATO - all highlighted as being partners in the promotion of security.
