Brussels, 08/01/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 8 January, Eurostat confirmed that eurozone and EU27 GDP had fallen by 0.2% during the third quarter 2008 compared to the second quarter when it had already fallen by 0.2% in the eurozone and stayed the same in the EU27. Compared to the same period of the year 2007, GDP increased by 0.6% in the euro area and by 0.8% in the EU27, compared to +1.4% and +1.7% during the previous quarter.
