08/01/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 8 January, the European Commission gave clearance for the proposed concentration whereby Teijin Pharma Limited (“Teijin Pharma”, Japan), belonging to Teijin Limited (“Teijin”, Japan), and Laboratories del Dr Esteve S.A. '”Esteve”, Spain) plan to acquire joint control of Oximeplus S.A. (Spain), currently controlled by Esteve, by way of purchase of shares. The activities of the companies considered are: - Teijin Pharma: solutions for both pharmaceuticals and home health care; - Teijin: ultimate parent company of a group of approximately 160 companies whose main activity is the development and marketing of fibres; - Esteve: manufacturing and marketing of pharmaceutical preparations and drugs intended for human and veterinary uses; and - Oximeplus: hospital and home oxygen therapy.
