08/01/2009 (Agence Europe) - Javier Solana, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, was in Turkey on Thursday 8 January 2009, where he was expected to meet President Abdullah Gül and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The trip follows a visit to several Middle Eastern countries including Egypt, Israel, Palestinian Territories, Syria and Lebanon, in view of finding a diplomatic solution to the crisis in Gaza.
