Czech Presidency to convene extraordinary Energy Council on Monday in Brussels

Brussels, 08/01/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 8 January, the Czech EU Council Presidency announced it was calling an extraordinary meeting of EU27 energy ministers in Brussels to discuss the gas crisis. “An extraordinary Council of energy ministers devoted to the situation on the energy market has been convened for 12 January in order to discuss what practical measures should be taken”, the Czech Presidency states in a press release.
