Commission announces €22 million investment in clean and renewable energy projects in Africa and Asia

Brussels, 11/12/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 11 December, as ministers are meeting at the UN Climate Conference in Poznan and the European Council that will be decisive for the adoption of the EU climate change plan opens in Brussels, the European Commission announced that the Global Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Fund (GEEREF) was about to provide €22 million to support projects in Africa and Asia.
