Commission to recover €528.5 million of incorrectly spent money from member states

Brussels, 11/12/2008 (Agence Europe) - Following a decision adopted by the European Commission on Thursday 11 December, 15 EU member states will have to repay a total of €528.5 million in irregular agricultural spending. The money will return to the Community budget. The main corrections are:
- €105.5 million charged to Italy for weaknesses in key and ancillary controls in plantations, mills and yields in the sector of olive oil production; - € 57.0 million charged to Italy for not...
