Brussels, 02/12/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 2 December, the European Commission announced the publication of a new communication on state aid in the context of the financial crisis. Brussels explains that this does not involve a revision of the rules but clarification, particularly with regard to aid to banks which are a priori healthy. Such support would provide an incentive to “healthy” banks to continue to propose lending services, despite congestion on the financial market.
