02/12/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 27 November, the European Commission sent reasoned opinions to six countries which have not yet fully transposed European legislation which prohibits discrimination in employment and occupation on the grounds of gender (directive 2002/73/EC). Austria, Lithuania, Slovenia, Hungary, Italy and Malta have two months to respond. If they fail to reply or if the response is unsatisfactory, the Commission may refer them to the European Court of Justice....
