02/12/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 27 November, the Council of Ministers of the EU confirmed the results of the concertation meeting of 21 November 2008 with the European Parliament, and formally adopted in its second reading the EU's general draft budget for the 2009 tax year. A compromise had been previously ratified on the funding of the “food facility” and the amount of payment appropriations for next year (EUROPE 9789). (L.C./transl.rh)
