Brussels, 22/10/2008 (Agence Europe) - In a judgment delivered on Tuesday 21 October, the Court of Justice gave clarification of the responsibilities and obligations of the European Parliament and national courts in actions brought against Members of the European Parliament. It is for national courts, in the first instance, to make the decision of whether or not to grant immunity to MEPs, even though it is the European Parliament Protocol that applies (case C-200/07).
