End of May saw €946 million over-execution in agricultural spending

Brussels, 22/10/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 15 October, the European Commission published its final report (early warning system) on agricultural spending from the EU budget. It revealed that between 16 October 2007 and 31 May 2008, member states had paid a total of €37.99bn in market measures and direct aid, which represents an over-execution of appropriations of around €946.8.
