Candidacy for accession still to be submitted this year

Brussels, 17/10/2008 (Agence Europe) - Montenegro intends to present its application to join the European Union before the end of the year, announced the prime minister of this young country, Milo Djukanovic, in an interview with Reuters. The head of government believes that his country has now made sufficient progress in implementing the stabilisation and association agreement (SAA) for it to take a further step and ask to join the EU. “Now everything is in place for our application,”...
