Results of European Council, first reading of draft 2009 budget, medicine and child protection

Brussels, 17/10/2008 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament will meet in plenary in Strasbourg from Monday 23 October to Thursday 24 October 2008. On the agenda on Tuesday will be a presentation by French President Nicolas Sarkozy and President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso of the results of the 15-16 October European Council, followed by a debate among MEPs. Other items on the agenda include approval on Wednesday of the appointment of Catherine Ashton as the new EU trade...
