Brussels, 17/10/2008 (Agence Europe) - The EU-Canada summit was held in Quebec on Friday 17 October. The main business of the summit was to take stock of the financial crisis and the redefinition of the rules governing the world financial system (including the G8). The summit was also expected to give the go-ahead to negotiations on a new economic partnership agreement between the EU and Canada.
