16/09/2008 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) is lending €16.3 million for the modernisation of the public transport system in Oradea, one of the most important cities in north-west Romania. The loan is being provided to the Municipality of Oradea and the final beneficiary is Regia Autonoma Oradea Transport Local (OTL). The funding will contribute to the acquisition of ten new trams and 20 new buses to replace part of the current OTL fleet. (O.L./transl.jl)
