Council adopts police cooperation rules

Luxembourg, 06/06/2008 (Agence Europe) - EU interior ministers agreed on Thursday 5 June 2008 Luxembourg to facilitate the transfer of DNA, fingerprints ad car registration numbers between member states' police forces. Agreedment was struck on a decision on technical and administrative measures to implement the June 2007 Prum Decision (see Europe 9444). Denmark has a parliamentary reservation about the Prum Decision that it has promised to lift in the near future. (B.C./transl. fl)
