18/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - In the wake of debate on the funding of trans-European transport networks (TEN-T), the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) is organising a seminar on the role of public-private partnerships (PPP) in transport. The seminar, 'PPP in the transport sector - procuring infrastructure to deliver value for money', will be held in Maastricht in the Netherlands on 7 and 8 July 2008 to provide practical information to public and private stakeholders involved in the implementation of PPPs in all areas of transport (air, rail, road and urban). The seminar will include specialist workshops on road, rail (high-speed trains), aviation (Galileo, airports and air traffic control) and implementing national transport strategies. Several European Commission and member state officials will be attending. Further information can be obtained from http://www.eipa.eu or by phone: +31.43.3296.381. (A.By.)
