Ankara denounces asymmetry of its trade regime

Brussels, 18/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - After a meeting with Peter Mandelson on Thursday 17 April in Brussels, Turkey's Trade Minister Kursad Tuzmen told the press that he had put Ankara's grievances to the trade commissioner concerning the asymmetry of its trade regime with the EU. Although he welcomed the rise in trade between the EU and Turkey - reaching €100 billion - Mr Tuzmen denounced several injustices for his country, which has customs union with the EU, arising from bilateral free...
