Brussels, 01/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - The SILC instrument has become “the” source of reference data for statistics on income distribution, poverty and social exclusion analysis at EU level. This is the main conclusion reached in the report on implementation of the regulation on Community statistics on income and living conditions, the so-called EU-SILC [(EC) No 1177/2003 of 16 June 2003] adopted by the Commission on Monday 31 March.
