01/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 1 April 2008, the European Commission gave the go-ahead to the planned joint acquisition of Annecy Courier shopping centre in France by SCI Vendome Commerces, belonging to the AXA group, and Klepierre SA, controlled by the BNP Paribas group (BNPP) by way of purchase of assets. The business activities of the undertakings concerned are: 1) for AXA, insurance and related financial services, and the management of real estate in Europe and elsewhere in the world; 2) for BNPP, investment banking, retail banking, private banking and asset management, including the management of shopping centres in Europe through its subsidiary Klepierre; and 3) for Annecy Courier, a shopping centre in Annecy in France.
