07/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - On 4 March, the European Commission presented to the Council a proposal for a regulation imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty and collecting definitively the provisional duty imposed on imports of coke from coal in pieces with a diameter of more than 80 mm (Coke 80+) originating in the People's Republic of China. On 20 December 2006, the Commission initiated an investigation which concluded that dumping of the product concerned caused injury to the Community industry. Provisional measures were then introduced under Commission regulation 1071/2007. The continued investigation having confirmed the provisional findings, the Commission now recommends that a definitive anti-dumping duty be imposed and the provisional duty be collected. The text of the proposal is to be found at: http: //eur-lex.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=COM: 2008: 0086: FIN: EN: PDF (O.L.)
