Brussels, 19/02/2008 (Agence Europe) - Eurostat, in its newly published Quarterly EU Labour Market Review - Winter 2008, says that, with the improvement in labour market conditions, (1) the overall EU employment rate had increased to 66%, up from 65% one year earlier; and (2) the average EU unemployment rate fell again in the fourth quarter of 2007 to 6.9%, down from 7.7% a year earlier.
