19/02/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 18 February, Sweden, backed by Austria, Denmark, France, the Netherlands and Portugal, repeated its call for the most appropriate solution to be found to respond to the Court of Justice ruling interpreting a delay in the notification of the birth of a bovine animal as rendering that animal ineligible for the slaughter premium. The Commission promised that a solution to this issue would be found for 2008 and following years. (L.C.)
