Council to decide on genetically-modified cotton and soya beans

Brussels, 13/02/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 12 February, the EU's standing committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health was unable to decide for or against plans to authorise two new strains of genetically-modified organisms, soybean A2704-12 and cotton LL25. A2704-12 tolerates glufosinate-ammonium herbicides.
