Demand to protect and promote hand-harvested sea salt

Brussels, 19/11/2007 (Agence Europe) - Representatives of the European Federation of Producers of Hand-harvested Sea Salt, gathered in Brussels on 15-16 November, have explained their fight to gain protection for hand-harvested sea salt as geographical indications. The federation is also demanding that fleur de sel be entered on the EU register of guaranteed traditional specialities.
