MEPs give conditional backing to scrapping of time restrictions on EU money-laundering directive

Strasbourg, 15/11/2007 (Agence Europe) - Adopting a report on 14 November 2007 by Philip Bradbourn (EPP-ED, United Kingdom) in first reading under the codecision procedure by 621 to 5 with 22 abstentions, the European Parliament agreed with the principles outlined in the Commission's draft legislation but called for a few technical legal adjustments.
