Andris Piebalgs visits Turkmenistan, which is opening its energy market to foreign investment

Brussels, 15/11/2007 (Agence Europe) - The boosting of energy links with the EU was top of the agenda of the first official visit by EU Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs to Turkmenistan on Thursday 15 November 2007, following Turkmen President Gurganguly Berdymukhammedov's visit to Brussels on 5-6 November 2007 (see EUROPE 9538). On the fringes of the 12th international conference on oil and gas in Ashgabat - the Turkmen capital - Piebalgs is expected to agree with the Turkmen authorities...
