Brussels, 09/11/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 7 November, the European Commission decided to close two infringement proceedings against Belgium. The first covered Belgian legislation on tax reductions for accommodation occupied by the owner and secondary homes because the measure used only to apply to homes located in Belgium. The second challenged the Belgian tax deduction rights granted only to payments into Belgian pension schemes. (M.B.)
