EU to provide €3.27 billion over 7 years towards Sicily's new regional Operational Policy

Brussels, 30/10/2007 (Agence Europe) - EU Regional Policy Commissioner Danuta Hubner will be visiting Sicily on 29-30 October to assess what has been achieved in the region in implementing regional policy from 2000-2006, and to discuss the development strategy chosen to implement cohesion policy in 2007-2013, explained a spokesperson for the commissioner in a press release. The EU will be contributing €3.27 billion to Sicily for the new regional Operational Programme (OP) for 2007-2013....
