MEPs call for lifting of Gaza blockade

Brussels, 11/10/2007 (Agence Europe) - Adopting by a wide majority on Thursday 11 October a resolution on the humanitarian situation in Gaza, the European Parliament expressed its 'deepest concern about the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip'. It called on Israel to lift the blockade of the Gaza Strip and to 'guarantee the flow of financial assets to the Gaza Strip, which has been suspended since 25 September 2007'.
