11/10/2007 (Agence Europe) - Following partial intermediate re-examination of anti-dumping duties on the import of iron or steel ropes and cables originating in Russia, Turkey and Thailand, which came into force in 2005, the European Commission submitted a draft regulation to the Council on 2 October 2007 to introduce a definitive anti-dumping duty on such products originating in Russia. The Commission decided, however, to repeal the anti-dumping measures on imports of certain iron or steel ropes and cables originating in Thailand and Turkey.
