First draft of report on wine sector reform thrashed out in parliamentary committee

Brussels, 11/10/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 9 October, Giuseppe Castiglione (EPP-ED, Italian) presented the first version of his draft report on reform of the wine sector to the members of the European Parliament agriculture committee. The report contains no fewer than 165 amendments to the initial European Commission proposal. Mr Castiglione's first proposals were generally well accepted by MEPs.
