18/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - Berti Ahern, Irish Prime Minister, has confirmed that there will be a referendum on the EU amending treaty in 2008, but the exact date is not yet known. “The Treaty is good for Europe and good for Ireland. We believe Europe is as important to our future as it has been to our past and we must fully mobilise to deliver a high turnout and a strong 'yes' vote on the treaty”, Mr Ahern said.
